WHAT WE DO

Welcome to Refugio House. We're a peer-driven sober living and transitional housing community that will journey with you on the road to freedom. Our approach to recovery is one-on-one community and accountability. If you are serious about rehabilitation, this is the place for you. We encourage professional treatment if you are currently using, but we are here for you when the time comes for you to reenter society.

One of our founders experienced firsthand the transformation that results from living and working in a drug and alcohol-free sober house. We designed Refugio House to acclimate residents to sober life in the real world. We've taken the best of what we've learned from our research and experience and brought it here to our hometown in Tyler, TX.

Hope is here. Recovery is possible.

Our program is both personal and practical, equipping residents with the tools they need to find lasting recovery. We help our residents find employment, and require them to join a 12-step program, find a sponsor, and follow our house rules and expectations.
